HEAL (Health Equity Advancement & Leadership) is a project with the goal of building and supporting community-based work to address inequities in asthma. The overall goal of HEAL is to reduce asthma deaths and illness among high-risk populations.
The Asthma & Allergy Foundation of America – Michigan Chapter (AAFA-MI,) has carried out the HEAL program for over 4 years. They strive to improve asthma control through advancing general health and wellness, access to specialty care, assessment of home environments, and asthma self-management education.
They are looking for 30 people to join in this FREE program and learn what good asthma control means. Along the way, they will provide tools, resources and incentives aimed at improving your asthma control and overall wellness.

To qualify for the HEAL project, YOU:
- have been told by a doctor you have asthma
- Detroit Residents only
- are 18 or over
- have been affected by healthcare inequities or in underserved communities
