What is the INHALE Executive Committee (EC)?

INHALE Executive Committee members provide input and critical feedback that will assist with decision making by the Coordinating Center Leadership team on aspects of the quality improvement process including but not limited to:

  • Data
  • Governance
  • Regulatory decisions
  • Measures
  • Patient engagement and education initiatives

EC Expectations

The EC will meet quarterly for 1.5 hours, but may meet ad-hoc for urgent issues. It is expected that the meetings will be virtual, with an opportunity to meet in-person at either the fall or spring regional meetings. It is expected that members will attend a minimum of 75% of the meetings. Terms will last 2 years and members can expect to give around 10 hours of their time per year.

Mary Ellen was nominated to the Executive Committee as she has been involved with INHALE since its start. She has a vast array of clinical knowledge and contributes valuable feedback and ideas to the committee.

Jennifer DeMore, MD

Allergist, Allergy and Immunology Associates of Ann Arbor, P.C., HVPA

Dr. DeMore joined the executive committee to advocate for meaningful quality measures that would help improve the health of our patients. When insurance companies partner with physicians, significant progress can occur that will affect individual patients positively and subsequently society as a whole.

Nada Farhat, PharmD, BCPS, BCACP

Clinical Pharmacist, MICMT, UMMG

Nada joined the INHALE Executive Committee to collaborate with providers from various POs across the state to help guide CQI priorities. Through this role, I support the development of intentional, data-driven metrics and provide pharmacist expertise to strengthen CQI operations, with the shared goal of improving care delivery and outcomes for patients with asthma and COPD.

Seth Forman, MD, FAAP

Pediatrician, West Bloomfield Pediatrics, United Physicians

Dr. Forman joined the Executive Committee to lend his passion and enthusiasm for improving care guidelines for pediatric asthma patients.

Jonathan Horbal, DO

Allergist, Jonathan Horbal DO, PLC, GLOSC

Dr. Horbal was nominated to the Executive Committee because he is passionate regarding education and quality improvement. He takes the lead within his practice improving communication and collaborating with the other physicians and staff as well as other providers in the community. He serves as co-chair of the Executive Committee to ensure Pulmonary and Allergy continue to partner together to improve communication between providers, insurance companies, and most importantly to uplift patient voices.

Lindsey Klynstra, BSN, RN

PO Clinical Champion, GLOSC

Lindsey was nominated to the Executive Committee because of her nature propensity for advocating on behalf of patients. She possesses the ability to anticipate the support required for providers and practices to be successful in value-based care initiatives. Lindsey is a natural leader. In a mere few weeks of collaboration, Lindsey has formulated strategies to enhance team workflows and cultivate remarkable team morale.

Sharon McManus, DO

Pediatrician, Pediatric Healthcare PLLC, UP

Dr. McManus has over 20 years of medical student and resident education. She is excited about outpatient best practice protocols. For the benefit of our practice and for the Corewell East pediatric community, she is interested in helping disperse the information and aiding independent provider in establishing care pathways. As an experienced pediatrician, she has the clinical abilities and connections to disseminate resources.

Timothy White, MD

Pediatrician, Cereal City Pediatrics, IHP

Dr. White was nominated to the Executive Committee because of his thoughtful and respectful contributions in implementing INHALE programming. He is always considerate and professional and stays up-to-date on evidence-based guidelines.

Jihad Younes, MD

Allergist, Allergy & Asthma Treatment Center

As a Board member of the Michigan Allergy and Asthma Society, joining the Executive Committee was a way to ensure our specialty is represented and our voice is heard. At a personal level, serving on the Executive Committee has been a great learning experience and an opportunity to interact with colleagues. After all, this is not just about quality measures: not everything that counts can be counted.
